Site type 03

Engineering & Fabrication

Sheet metal, structural, machining and assembly shops building to drawing, with job work going out and coming back.

Elevation · Fabrication workshop

A fabrication shop builds to order, so every job has its own drawing, its own material and its own cost. Foundepth runs each job as a costed work order, tracks material sent out for galvanising or machining, and shows what the job really made once it is invoiced.

Site conditions

What pushes on this building.

Load 01

Every job is different

Quotes are estimated from drawings. Without actual hours and material per job, the next estimate repeats the same error.

Load 02

Material leaves the gate

Plates go out for laser cutting, parts for plating or galvanising. Challans get lost and quantities do not come back whole.

Load 03

Offcuts and heat numbers

Plate offcuts have value and test certificates need heat numbers. Both are usually tracked on paper.

Load 04

Milestone billing

Large jobs are billed in stages. Advance, progress and retention amounts need to tie back to the job.
